A man has been found guilty of conspiring to distribute counterfeit drugs and selling them to the United States. The conspiracy was announced in a U. S. District Court in San Diego in June 2012. The defendant is a pharmaceutical company and the manufacturer of Viagra and Cialis.
Prosecutors claim that he distributed and sold drugs to the United States for between $100,000 and $300,000, and that he distributed and sold counterfeit drugs to the United States and the Mexican government.
The conspiracy alleged that on several occasions, he offered to give away, sell, or supply counterfeit Viagra, Cialis, or Levitra. He was also the manufacturer of a drug that he sold to the United States.
The drug was seized in San Diego on November 15, 2012. In court on Thursday, the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Southern California announced that the defendant would be sentenced to serve up to 36 months. He will be out for the next 36 months and will be sentenced to five years, or a minimum of 10 years.

On February 28, 2013, the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern California Division of the Southern California Department of Law Enforcement announced that Viagra was being distributed to more than 3 million customers.
The United States will be out of the drugs market for a minimum of 20 years. The U. Food and Drug Administration will only allow for one year’s worth of drugs to be sold to the Mexican government. The Mexican government will have 24 months to appeal the case.
A judge has not yet scheduled a sentencing hearing on the case. The case was scheduled for hearing on September 4, 2013.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U. Attorney Kenneth Magidson, and U. Attorney’s Office for the Southern California Department of Law Enforcement.
